Apple Strudel

Apple Strudel

Butter a 9”x 9” baking dish or 10” pie plate. Fill it with slices of unsweetened peeled cooking apples to a depth of about 1 inch.

Mix in a bowl with a spoon: 1 Cup flour 1 Cup sugar 1 t. baking powder

Mix in 1 egg.

This is a simple recipe. Don’t bother to sift anything or beat the egg.

Spread over apples. Sprinkle a little sugar and cinnamon on top. Then sprinkle 2 T. of water over it. Bake at 350° for one hour. If brown before that, either reduce the heat or remove from oven (if apples are cooked). Serve warm. This tastes good with vanilla ice cream. Apple Strudel
