Peanut Butter Blossoms

3 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. shortening 1 c. peanut butter 2 eggs 4 Tbs. milk 2 tsp. vanilla about 96 Hershey kisses

Mix all but the kisses. Chill for an hour or two. Shape into balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for about 7 to 8 minutes. Watch while baking and when they begin to crack, take out of the oven and "smash" a kiss into the center of each. Return to the oven for 1-2 minutes.
